Monarchs Stop Eagles in 4th Quarter
There was a full moon at Eddie West Field in Santa Ana, California and that might explain this wild and at times off the rails game between the Santa Margarita Eagles and the Mater Dei Monarchs. The Eagles defense played as well as anyone expected as they consistently had the Monarchs guessing. Three turnovers by SM resulted in 21 points but they held their ground as MD had a 21-19 lead with just minutes left before the Monarchs rose to the occassion on an Eagles third down play. 3 Plays Make Difference in JV League Opener
The JV Trinity League opener between the Santa Margarita Eagles and the St. John Bosco Braves came down to 2 fourth down plays and a third play to cap off the game. In between was a great defensive effort by the Eagles and at times an offense that clicked but just not as consistent as needed for the Eagles to get in the endzone and answer the Braves. Eagles Dominate Olympians Move to 4-1
The Santa Margarita Eagles honored our First Responders, theire Seniors, were acknowledged for their California Cup Cal Max Preps Cup Winner for Athletics for the 2022-23 school year and on the field dominated the Leuzinger Olympians winning their fourth game behind a balanced offensive attack and a strong defense that only allowed one-touchdown. The Santa Margarita Eagles took their game on the road to Bakersfield, California to take on the Liberty Patriots. The Patriots got off to a fast start but the Eagles quickly answered.
