In a Downpour the Eagles Score 2X and Advance to State Championship
It will be a rematch of the CIF-SS Open Championship as the Eagles defeated San Marco to earn the right to play Santiago for the second time in a week. In a constant rain, the Eagles scored early against San Marcos, added a penalty kick for a goal, gave up one and held on to win their 20th game of the season to only one loss and two ties. Cora Frys Delivers, Eagles Put 4 & Beat Santiago for Championship
The Santa Margarita Eagles took on the Santiago Sharks at Fred Kelly Stadium in Orange, California for the CIF-SS Open Championship. SM came out fast with two scores, Santiago closed the gap entering the second-half but the Eagles stayed a step ahead with two more goals eventually scoring two more. Cora Fry had two clutch goals and the Eagles win the championship. Paul J. Higgins has all the exciting girls soccer action. Mustangs Come Out Hot Against the Sailors, Only Give Up 1 Goal on Defense
The Trabuco Hills Mustangs opened up their 2025 lacrosse season with an impressive win against the Newport Harbor Sailors. From the opening faceoff the Mustangs were on their game as they scored 8 unanswered goals in route to a 13-1 win. The offensive attack was impressive as Landon Schweer, Luke Stotko, Nico Guerreroand Seamn Kohar all had goals. In between the post at goalie Tobias Smith was spot on and an aggressive defense kept the Sailors on their heels. The win was a total team effort on both sides of the ball. Enjoy as Paul J. On the line, the Trinity League Varsity Soccer League Championship as the Santa Margarita Lady Eagles took on the JSerra Lady Lions at JSerra Catholic High School. It came down to one clutch goal by Felicity Nquyen in the first half and three saves by goalie Lauren Rose as she came off the bench three-quarters of the way into the game after starting goalie Kaitlin Crossett was ejected for a slide tackle on JSerra. Rival Match, Mike Farris Honor, Class of 1991
The Eagles hosted their rivals, the JSerra Lions in the final home dual wrestling meet of the season. It was a very successful night as the Eagles dominated on the mat. Prior to the wrestling on the mat, the Eagles honored their 2025 wrestling seniors plus special recognition was directed to Mike Farris, SM Class of 1991. Mike was the first ever Eagle to qualify for state in the sport of wrestling. He was on hand along with his then head coach Steve Glassy plus the wrestling seniors from the Class of 1991.
