Rival Match, Mike Farris Honor, Class of 1991
The Eagles hosted their rivals, the JSerra Lions in the final home dual wrestling meet of the season. It was a very successful night as the Eagles dominated on the mat. Prior to the wrestling on the mat, the Eagles honored their 2025 wrestling seniors plus special recognition was directed to Mike Farris, SM Class of 1991. Mike was the first ever Eagle to qualify for state in the sport of wrestling. He was on hand along with his then head coach Steve Glassy plus the wrestling seniors from the Class of 1991. Wrestling Under the Lights Takes Center Stage at SM vs La Quinta
Wrestling took center stage on back-to-back nights at Santa Margarita Catholic High School. The La Quinta Blackhaks traveled from the desert to take on the Eagles. Eagles Tigers Match Decided by Tie Breaker - Great Wrestling by Both Teams
The San Jacinto Tigers traveled a long way to take on the Santa Margarita Eagle Wrestlers. An exciting night under the lights as wrestling in Moiso Pavilion is electric. The dual meet was decided by a unique tie breaker. Eagle Wrestlers Up-End Don Lugo at Home
Santa Margarita held its first wrestling dual match at home in the gym in 10 years and they did not disaapoint. The Eagles hosted Don Lugo and it was a special evening under the lights in Moiso Pavillion. Coach Zach Merrill has his team primed and ready for the season and his wrestlers showcased their talents against a talented Don Lugo team. Paul J. Higgins has all the great wrestling action. The 2024 Trinity League Wrestling Finals were held at St. John Bosco High School. The top 3 finishers will move on to qualify and compete in CIF. SM Frosh Soph Wrestlers Shine at League Duals
The Trinity League Frosh/Soph Duals were held at Orange Lutheran High School and the SM Eagles Wrestlers held their own taking 2nd place as a team and crowning 5 Dual Champions with Braydon Higgins going 4-0, Samuel Qu 4-0, Adrian Hadis 3-1, Jayden Dose 4-0 and Grant Degulis at 2-0.
