There was a full moon at Eddie West Field in Santa Ana, California and that might explain this wild and at times off the rails game between the Santa Margarita Eagles and the Mater Dei Monarchs. The Eagles defense played as well as anyone expected as they consistently had the Monarchs guessing. Three turnovers by SM resulted in 21 points but they held their ground as MD had a 21-19 lead with just minutes left before the Monarchs rose to the occassion on an Eagles third down play.
