3 Plays Make Difference in JV League Opener
The JV Trinity League opener between the Santa Margarita Eagles and the St. John Bosco Braves came down to 2 fourth down plays and a third play to cap off the game. In between was a great defensive effort by the Eagles and at times an offense that clicked but just not as consistent as needed for the Eagles to get in the endzone and answer the Braves. Played at St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, California these two-teams demostrated excellence in sportsmanship and played high quality football. Paul J. Eagles Dominate Olympians Move to 4-1
The Santa Margarita Eagles honored our First Responders, theire Seniors, were acknowledged for their California Cup Cal Max Preps Cup Winner for Athletics for the 2022-23 school year and on the field dominated the Leuzinger Olympians winning their fourth game behind a balanced offensive attack and a strong defense that only allowed one-touchdown. Fueled by six touchdowns by Trent Mosley the Eagles finally got off the bus in the second quarter to come from behind to win their third game of the season. Eagles Fly Past the Patriots in Bakersfield
The Santa Margarita Eagles took their game on the road to Bakersfield, California to take on the Liberty Patriots. The Patriots got off to a fast start but the Eagles quickly answered. Trent Mosley had an exceptional game as the sophomore scores almost every time he touches the ball. The Eagles defense rose to the occassion in front of a raucious Patriot crowd. Huskies Eagles Live Up to Hype in Week 2
Week 2 of the High School Fpptball Season pitted two-teams destined for post season play even if it's only the second game of the year. The Centennial Huskies were playing back to back Trinity League schools as one week ago they lost to Mater Dei. On the road they played the Santa Margarita Eagles at Saddleback College. The ball took some crazy bounces on both sides as these two teams played an entertaining game of high school football. Credit the Eagles down their starting QB as Hunter Melton has stepped innicely. The Huskies are well rounded and it showed. The Eagles line on both sides are already coming into their own. Paul J. Higgins has all the action. The Saints Halt the Path of the Eagles
The Crean Lutheran Saints hosted the Santa Margarita Eagles in Girls High School Flag Football. Defense played a major role in this one and some clutch plays by the Saints was the difference in the Saints first win of the season. The Eagles certainly had their bright spots as they take what they learned from this one to regroup for the exciting season to come. SM Eagles Make Flag Football History
The Santa Margarita Eagles hosted the Dana Hills Dolphins in the first Girls Flag Football Game in school history. Not only did they play they shutout the Dolphins in convincing fashion scoring on both saides of the ball. The Dolphins played well but the Eagles outperformored the Dolphins with a quick defensive touchdown. Exceptional flag football in a very entertaining game. Enjoy as Paul J.
